How this calculation works
Area (sq ft) = length (ft) × width (ft). Square meters = square feet × 0.0929. Perimeter (ft) = 2 × (length + width).
Example: 4×8 raised bed
Area = 32 sq ft (about 2.97 m²). Perimeter = 24 ft. That 24 ft is the board length around the outside only if you measured outside dimensions.
